Feedback on applicants to judge at 2024 National Finals now open

Public feedback is now open on the applicants who have applied to be adjudicators at the National Finals of the 2024 New Zealand Schools' Debating Championships.

The community feedback process is not concerned with a candidate’s skill but rather their conduct. In particular, the New Zealand Schools’ Debating Council are interested in any feedback members of the community may have with regard to the candidate’s past performance as a coach or judge, or any other relevant concerns regarding their behaviour around children.

The applicants to adjudicate are as follows (in no particular order):

  • Chris Ryan;
  • Umbar Sandhu;
  • Samuel Blackwood;
  • Liam Silverwood.*
  • Colby Allen;
  • Lucy Jessep;
  • Benjamin Diskin.

Please email any relevant feedback to treasurer@debating.org.nz by 6pm on Wednesday 20 March.

Please note that this is not an opportunity to provide general feedback about the applicants, as might be the case in respect of applications for University-level tournaments.

* following a late application, added on 14 March 2024.
